Koret supports innovative approaches to community challenges, particularly those with significant public policy implications. Specifically, we support organizations and initiatives in the areas of Education; Arts, Culture, & Civic Life; and Jewish Peoplehood.

Every child deserves the opportunity to receive a high-quality education, and a competitive marketplace increases the odds of realizing this fundamental American birthright. Our strategy is to exert external market pressure on public school districts to encourage excellence.

Our Process

The Koret Foundation considers grant requests by invitation only. Our program staff actively surveys the landscape of nonprofit organizations engaged in innovative, exemplary work in areas of interest to us, and invites those with compelling projects to submit grant applications.
